The Maasai Festival is an iconic annual cultural event that is curated to add value to Tanzania’s Tourism Sector by creating a platform where travel enthusiasts and proud locals can come together to learn, experience and enjoy the cultural diversity in Tanzania. Named after one of Africa’s well-known tribes, The Maasai.

The event will feature a celebration of Tanzania’s many cultures led by the Maasai through a plethora of activities from traditional dances, arts and fashion, and delicious cuisines all the way to deep-rooted rituals and beliefs.

The Maasai Festival Season will be held in the month of September 2023 for the whole month. It will be a month filled with vibrant celebrations and colourful activities. 

We have selected the month of August because it is part of the tourism high season and so there will be an influx of tourist from across the globe.
